Of course I'm also terribly bothered by the fact that this continues to happen, time and time again, and by the fact that at this point, I'm basically acclimated to this. I'm basically numb to situations like this. I release people daily that have no business in the real world. On meds they are fine but we discharge them to homeless shelters. You think they worry about hitching a ride to Rite Aid and paying for their meds? Cigarettes are a far more desirable coping mechanism to them. We need to pay taxes to provide meals and a room and someone to help them stay on track every day. We pay for them one way or another. It's not a choice.This guy suffered loss and acted on his emotions.
