After my landlord neglected to turn on the heat one year, I left him a voicemail stating that our fingers were too numb to write the rent checks. Lo and behold, the heat came on shortly after. That apartment was shit, and my landlord was an even bigger shit. A couple of months ago i didn’t get hot water for 3 days i told the landlord and he never answer,i had to call the housing department and the landlord had to paid the 2 day stay at the local hotel. NY is pretty serious when hot water is at stake.
